Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge (Old-Fashioned No-Bake)

Posted on January 8, 2026 By admin No Comments on Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge (Old-Fashioned No-Bake)

This creamy peanut butter fudge is smooth, rich, and melts in your mouth. With its glossy top and soft bite, it’s the kind of classic treat that disappears fast. Made with simple pantry ingredients and no baking required, this fudge is perfect for holidays, gift trays, or anytime you’re craving something sweet and nostalgic.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy works best)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 4 cups powdered sugar

  • ¼ teaspoon salt (optional, but recommended)

Optional add-ins:

  • Chopped peanuts for extra texture

  • A pinch of sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan
Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Set aside.

  2. Melt Butter and Peanut Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and peanut butter together, stirring constantly until smooth and fully combined. Do not boil.

  3. Add Vanilla
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. Mix in Sugar
Gradually add the powdered sugar and salt, stirring until the mixture is thick, smooth, and glossy. Work quickly, as the fudge will start to set.

  5. Set the Fudge
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly with a spatula. Tap the pan gently on the counter to remove air bubbles.

  6. Chill
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

  7. Slice and Serve
Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and cut into small squares.

Tips for Perfect Fudge

  • Use low heat to prevent separation or grainy texture

  • Sift powdered sugar if it has lumps

  • For clean cuts, warm your knife slightly before slicing

Storage

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days

  • Refrigerate for up to 1 week

  • Freeze for up to 2 months; thaw before serving

Variations

  • Chocolate swirl: Add melted chocolate on top and swirl before chilling

  • Nutty crunch: Fold in chopped peanuts or walnuts

  • Salted fudge: Sprinkle flaky salt on top before setting
