Stove Top Stuffing Meatloaf

Ingredients:

 

– 1 pound ground beef

– 1 box (6 oz) Stove Top stuffing mix (any flavor)

– 1 cup water

– 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped

– 1/2 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped

– 2 large eggs

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)

– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

 

Instructions:

 

1. Preheat the Oven:

 

– Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

 

2. Prepare the Stuffing:

 

– In a medium bowl, combine the Stove Top stuffing mix and water. Stir until the stuffing is moistened and set aside to absorb the liquid.

 

3. Mix the Meatloaf Ingredients:

 

– In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, chopped green bell pepper, eggs, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and the prepared stuffing mix. Mix until well combined, but do not overmix.

 

4. Shape the Meatloaf:

 

– Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a lined baking sheet. Make sure to form it evenly.

 

5. Add the Topping:

 

– Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf for added flavor and moisture.

 

6. Bake the Meatloaf:

 

– Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

 

7. Rest and Serve:

 

– Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
