Oreo Poke Cake

Description:
Oreo poke cake is a rich, crowd-pleasing dessert made with moist chocolate cake, creamy filling soaked into the holes, and a fluffy whipped topping loaded with crushed Oreos. Each bite is soft, chocolatey, and full of cookies-and-cream flavor, making it perfect for parties and potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box)

  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 2 cups cold milk

  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

  • 15–20 Oreo cookies, crushed (divided)

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake the chocolate cake according to package directions in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.

  3. In a bowl, whisk together instant pudding mix and cold milk until smooth.

  4. Pour the pudding evenly over the cake, making sure it fills the holes.

  5. Refrigerate the cake for 20–30 minutes to allow the pudding to set.

  6. Spread whipped topping evenly over the chilled cake.

  7. Sprinkle crushed Oreos on top.

  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Tips and Variations

  • Use chocolate pudding instead of vanilla for extra richness.

  • Add a drizzle of chocolate syrup over the whipped topping.

  • Make it ahead of time; the flavor improves as it chills.
