1 large head green cabbage
Filling

1 pound ground beef (or beef and pork mix)

1 cup cooked rice

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika
Sauce

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove cabbage leaves and blanch for 2–3 minutes until softened. Drain.

In a large bowl, mix ground meat, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika.

Place about ¼ cup filling in the center of each cabbage leaf. Roll tightly, tucking in the sides.

Spread a small amount of sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.

Arrange cabbage rolls seam-side down in the dish.

Mix tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the rolls.

Cover tightly with foil and bake for 75–90 minutes until cabbage is tender and filling is cooked through.

Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
