Creamy Ham Pasta Salad is a simple, satisfying dish that’s perfect for potlucks, picnics, barbecues, or easy family meals. Made with tender pasta, savory diced ham, sweet corn, and a rich ranch-style dressing, this salad is creamy, flavorful, and incredibly easy to prepare. It’s best served chilled, making it an ideal make-ahead recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz) tub sour cream

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 (16 oz) box pasta, cooked, drained, and cooled

  • 1½ cups cooked ham, diced

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) sweet corn, drained

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dressing

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.

Step 2: Add the Pasta and Fillings

Add the cooled pasta, diced ham, and drained sweet corn to the bowl with the dressing.

Step 3: Mix

Gently stir until everything is evenly coated in the creamy dressing.

Step 4: Chill

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to blend.

Step 5: Serve

Stir once more before serving. Serve chilled.

Tips & Variations

  • Add crunch: Stir in diced celery or red onion

  • Extra flavor: Add shredded cheddar cheese or a pinch of paprika

  • Lighter option: Use half Greek yogurt and half mayonnaise

  • Different protein: Substitute turkey or rotisserie chicken for the ham

Serving Suggestions

Serve this pasta salad with:

  • Grilled chicken or burgers
