Ingredients

  • 2 blocks (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained and gently flaked

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

  • ½ cup finely diced celery

  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For Coating (Optional)

  • Additional Cajun seasoning or smoked paprika

  • Chopped parsley or green onions

For Serving

  • Crackers, crostini, or toasted baguette slices

  • Celery sticks, cucumber rounds, or bell pepper strips

  • Cocktail sauce (optional drizzle or side dip)

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Base

In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

Add mayonnaise, Cajun seasoning, Old Bay, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, smoked paprika, cayenne (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined.

Step 2: Fold in the Crab

Gently fold in the crab meat, diced celery, and green onions, taking care not to break up the crab too much.

Step 3: Shape and Chill

Transfer the mixture onto plastic wrap and shape into a ball. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

Step 4: Coat and Serve

Before serving, roll the cheese ball in additional Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, or chopped herbs if desired.

Place on a serving platter and drizzle lightly with cocktail sauce or serve it on the side.
