Baked Garlic Parmesan Fries

Description:
Baked garlic Parmesan fries are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated with savory garlic, butter, and melted Parmesan cheese. They’re a lighter alternative to fried fries and make a perfect side dish or snack.


Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Wash and cut potatoes into thin fries. Pat dry with paper towels.

  3. In a large bowl, toss potatoes with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.

  4. Spread fries in a single layer on the baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip fries.

  6. Return to oven and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and crispy.

  7. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  8. Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve hot.


Tips and Variations

  • Soak potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking for extra crispiness.

  • Use grated Romano cheese for a sharper flavor.

  • Serve with ranch, ketchup, or garlic aioli.
