Banana Split Dump Cake

Banana split dump cake is an easy, crowd-pleasing dessert that brings all the classic banana split flavors together in one simple bake. Sweet bananas, pineapple, cherries, chocolate, and a buttery cake topping come together for a warm, gooey dessert that’s perfect for potlucks or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced

  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • ½ cup chocolate chips

  • ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Arrange banana slices evenly over the bottom of the dish.

  3. Spread crushed pineapple (with juice) evenly over the bananas.

  4. Spoon cherry pie filling over the pineapple layer.

  5. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the fruit layers.

  6. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix.

  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts on top.

  8. Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.

  9. Let cool slightly before serving.


Tips and Variations

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for a true banana split experience.

  • Add strawberry pie filling for extra fruit flavor.

  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
