Maid-Rite Sliders

Posted on January 12, 2026 By admin No Comments on Maid-Rite Sliders

These Maid-Rite Sliders are a delicious spin on the classic loose-meat sandwich. Savory, seasoned ground beef is piled onto soft slider buns, topped with tangy pickles and melty American cheese, then finished with a rich, sweet-savory butter sauce. Baked until warm and golden, these sliders are perfect for family dinners, parties, or game-day gatherings.

Ingredients

For the Sliders

  • 1 lb lean ground beef

  • ½ small white onion, minced

  • 1 beef bouillon cube

  • ½ cup water

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 12 slider buns

  • ⅓ cup dill pickle slices

  • 6 slices American cheese

For the Butter Sauce

  • ½ cup butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish large enough to hold the slider buns.

Step 2: Cook the Beef

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and minced onion, breaking the meat apart as it browns. Cook until the beef is fully browned and the onion is softened. Drain excess grease if needed.

Add the beef bouillon cube, water, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the liquid has mostly evaporated and the meat is flavorful and juicy.

Step 3: Assemble the Sliders

Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in the prepared baking dish. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the buns. Top with dill pickle slices, followed by the American cheese. Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese.

Step 4: Make the Butter Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined. Brush the mixture generously over the tops of the buns.

Step 5: Bake

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes, or until the sliders are heated through and the cheese is fully melted.

Step 6: Serve

Remove from the oven, uncover, and serve warm.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use lean ground beef to prevent excess grease

  • Chop the onion very finely so it blends into the meat

  • For extra crisp tops, uncover and bake an additional 3–5 minutes
