Orange Soda Cake

Description:
Orange soda cake is a light, moist dessert made with simple ingredients and bright citrus flavor. Using orange soda in the batter creates a soft texture and subtle orange taste, while a sweet glaze adds the perfect finishing touch. It’s an easy cake that’s great for gatherings or everyday desserts.

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 box white or yellow cake mix

  • 1 cup orange soda (such as Fanta or Sunkist)

  • ½ cup vegetable oil

  • 3 large eggs

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2–3 tablespoons orange soda or orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or a Bundt pan.

  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, orange soda, oil, and eggs. Beat until smooth.

  3. Pour batter into the prepared pan.

  4. Bake for 30–35 minutes for a 9×13 pan, or 40–45 minutes for a Bundt pan, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  5. Allow cake to cool slightly.

  6. Whisk powdered sugar and orange soda or juice until smooth.

  7. Drizzle glaze over the warm cake. Let set before serving.

Tips and Variations

  • Add orange zest to the batter for extra citrus flavor.

  • Use a chocolate cake mix for a chocolate-orange twist.

  • Serve with whipped topping or vanilla ice cream.
