If you’re looking for a sweet treat that’s a little different from your everyday cookie, Pecan Dandy Do’s are just the thing. A buttery Ritz cracker base is topped with rich homemade caramel and crunchy pecans, creating the perfect balance of salty, sweet, and nutty in every bite.

There’s no rolling, no chilling, and no baking required—just a few minutes on the stovetop. These easy treats are perfect for fall gatherings, holiday trays, or anytime you want a quick dessert that feels special.

Ingredients

  • 2–3 sleeves Ritz crackers

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • ⅓ cup butter

  • ⅓ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 2 cups pecans, roughly chopped

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crackers

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the Ritz crackers in a single layer and set aside.

Step 2: Make the Caramel Base

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, butter, and brown sugar. Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and becomes glossy.

Step 3: Add Flavor and Pecans

Reduce heat to low. Whisk in the milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth. Fold in the chopped pecans and cook for 2 more minutes, stirring constantly, until thick.

Remove from heat.

Step 4: Assemble

Using a lightly greased spoon or cookie scoop, spoon a small amount of the pecan caramel mixture onto each cracker.

Step 5: Cool and Store

Allow the treats to cool completely so the topping can set. Once cooled, store in an airtight container.

Tips & Variations

  • Toast the pecans lightly before adding for deeper flavor

  • Add a pinch of sea salt on top for a sweet-salty finish

  • Drizzle with melted chocolate once cooled for extra indulgence

  • Swap Ritz for club crackers or saltines if desired

Storage

Store Pecan Dandy Do’s in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days, or refrigerate for up to 1 week.

Final Thoughts

Pecan Dandy Do’s are proof that the simplest desserts are often the most memorable. With their buttery cracker base and rich pecan caramel topping, these no-bake treats are easy to make, easy to love, and guaranteed to disappear fast.
