Posted on January 16, 2026 By admin No Comments on Sheet Pan Taco Bake

This Sheet Pan Taco Bake is an easy, family-friendly dinner that delivers all the bold flavors of tacos in one simple oven-baked dish. Flaky puff pastry forms the base, topped with seasoned ground beef, melty cheddar cheese, and finished with fresh taco toppings after baking. It’s perfect for busy weeknights, casual gatherings, or game-day meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 refrigerated puff pastry sheet, thawed

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • ¼ cup onion, chopped

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 cup water

  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

  • 1½ cups lettuce, chopped

  • 1 cup black olives, sliced

  • 1 cup cherry or cocktail tomatoes, sliced

  • ¼ cup ranch dressing or sour cream

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat and Prepare

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper.

Roll out the puff pastry slightly and place it on the prepared pan. Dock lightly with a fork to prevent excessive puffing.

Step 2: Cook the Beef

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion until browned. Drain excess grease.

Stir in taco seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, and water. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.

Step 3: Assemble the Bake

Spread the beef mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.

Sprinkle 2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef.

Step 4: Bake

Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crisp and the cheese is melted.

Step 5: Add Toppings

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Top with remaining cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, and drizzle with ranch dressing or sour cream.

Step 6: Slice and Serve

Cut into squares and serve warm.

Tips & Variations

  • Add jalapeños for heat

  • Swap cheddar for a Mexican cheese blend

  • Chips and salsa

Storage

  • Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days
