Ingredients

1½ pounds ground beef (or half beef, half pork)

1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (chicken or savory herb)

1 cup milk

2 large eggs

½ cup finely diced onion

½ cup finely diced celery (optional)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

½ cup ketchup
Optional add-ins

1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

1–2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet.

In a large bowl, combine stuffing mix and milk. Let it sit for 2–3 minutes to soften.

Add eggs, onion, celery, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, and Worcestershire sauce if using. Mix well.

Gently fold in the ground meat until just combined. Do not overmix.

Press the mixture into the prepared loaf pan or shape into a loaf on a baking sheet.

Spread ketchup evenly over the top.

Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
