Sweet chili pineapple sauce is a glossy, tropical-inspired sauce that blends sweet pineapple with mild heat and tangy chili flavor. It’s perfect for glazing chicken, shrimp, or pork, drizzling over rice bowls, or using as a dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple juice (or finely crushed pineapple, drained)

  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

  • 1 tablespoon water

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine pineapple juice, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and garlic.

  2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  3. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth.

  4. Stir slurry into sauce and cook 1–2 minutes until thickened.

  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using.
